Riskaudit IRSN/GRS International
The establishment of RISKAUDIT is based on an "agreement on general co-operation" concluded in 1989 between both partners GRS and the predecessor of IRSN as a result of their preceding particularly close collaboration in the field of nuclear safety. It is backed up by the German and French ministers responsible for nuclear safety, during the French-German summit in May 1991, who reaffirmed their support to the creation of institutional structures shared between their respective technical safety organisations/research institutes specialised in the field of nuclear safety.

The staff of RISKAUDIT consists of highly-qualified experts with diverse different scientific and technical backgrounds, specialised in project and contract management in the field of nuclear safety and radiation protection and environmental protection.
The customers of RISKAUDIT are mainly the European Commission, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the contracting units of the European Union Member States and different Nuclear Safety Authorities.
RISKAUDIT also works for other national and international organisations, who in this way wish to benefit from the knowledge, methods and experience of RISKAUDIT to fulfil their own responsible functions in the fields of safety and environmental protection.
RISKAUDIT has a close relationship to its project partners who are besides IRSN and GRS the regulatory authorities and the expert organisations (TSOs) of the EU member states and worldwide.
