Sanggar Swara is a Young Transgender Organization based in Jakarta that focuses on education and advocacy the Transwomen rights in Indonesia, especially in Jabodetabek. They combine classes, internships and other forms of support to promote transgender independence and empowerment within the framework of human rights, gender and sexuality, as well as to increase public understanding of diversity. The aim is to reduce stigma, violence and discrimination against transgender women in the Greater Jakarta area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi). Sanggar Swara was formed in June 2006 as a sub-program of the Srikandi Sejati Foundation.
