What they do
-We are the children's rights committed : We are fighting for the rights of all children to health and survival , school and education and protection from violence and exploitation , and protect them from dangers in emergency and disaster situations .
-We involve children in our work : children are at the center of everything we do. You have a say in our projects and are involved in decision-making processes.
-We are independent : We help all children, regardless of gender, origin or religion. We are not obliged to anyone except for the well-being of the children.
-We are the founders of the international children's rights movement : our founder Eglantyne Jebb wrote a declaration on children's rights as early as 1923. Today this is part of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and applies in almost every country in the world.
-We help people to help themselves: We work out our solutions with local people, involve village elders and community councils as well as authorities and the government in our work and thus strengthen sustainable development.
