About

The need to guarantee the protection and conservation of the environment, in its double manifestation of natural environment and environmental quality, taking into account the qualitative and quantitative conditions that are imposed from the regulatory, technological, financial and economic and efficiency spheres, make it necessary that the Public Administration intervene in the environmental sector by equipping itself with an instrument that incorporates the rules of private law into public management, which is capable of adapting quickly enough to the reality on which it has to act.

Thus, the creation of a commercial company with the quality of a public company has been considered the most suitable means to achieve the aforementioned purposes.

The Public Society

The public company Sociedad Pública de Infraestructuras y Medio Ambiente de Castilla y León aims to :

Carrying out all kinds of work. Operations, works, studies, reports, projects, works management, consultancies, technical assistance and services related to the promotion, protection, conservation, regeneration or improvement of the environment, in the fields of the natural environment, environmental quality and hydraulic and environmental infrastructures, either commissioned by the General Administration of the Community of Castilla y León, or by free decision, in the exercise of the activity corresponding to the company's corporate purpose, within the framework of the Environmental Policy of the Autonomous Community and in order to achieve maximum efficiency in the financing of public Investments.
Project, promote, build, reform, rehabilitate, conserve and exploit buildings, works and transport and logistics infrastructures as well as the management and exploitation of the services related to them.
Acquire and manage land, draw up instruments for spatial planning and urban planning and management, as well as manage the corresponding actions until the disposal of the resulting lots.
Carry out the development action on residential, logistical and endowment land, and the possible management and exploitation of works and services resulting from said action.
Encourage, promote, build, sell and lease homes under any public protection regime.
The management of public services in environmental matters that may be attributed to it by the General Administration of the Community of Castilla y León, when this results in a better provision of them.
The own or leased operation of thermal and / or electrical energy production plants for the sale of energy, through joint generation systems or the use of renewable energies that entail an improvement in the efficiency in the use of energy or in the use of native resources, as well as the promotion, exploitation and investment in development projects or the provision of renewable energy and energy efficiency services.
Carrying out any other complementary, analogous or related activity to the above purposes.
