In the tradition of the anti-apartheid movement, they see themselves as a solidarity organization with Southern Africa.
They particularly support South Africa and Namibia in overcoming the consequences of colonialism and apartheid. They are also committed to the other states and societies in this region that are affected by the effects of a disadvantageous global order.

Together with them they strive for a socially just, politically participatory, economically prosperous and ecologically sustainable society.
