The Rights Forum is a knowledge center on the issue of Palestine / Israel, founded on the initiative of former Prime Minister Dries van Agt. The organization started its work in 2009. The foundation date is 10 December, the International Human Rights Day.
The Rights Forum is committed to a just and sustainable Dutch and European policy on the Palestine / Israel issue. Only if that policy is based on respect for international law and human rights is it actively contributed to peace between Israelis and Palestinians. The international community has so far failed to create the necessary conditions for a just peace. The Rights Forum aims to bring about change.
The Foundation The Rights Forum consists of a five-member board, an extremely expert Advisory Board (consisting of former ministers and jurists) and a professional work organization. Dries van Agt is honorary chairman of The Rights Forum.
