Summit Consulting Services, Inc. opened its doors at the original office location near Tok, Alaska in 1995, specializing in construction management services on force account rural Alaska public construction projects, primarily for the State of Alaska Village Safe Water (VSW) Program. Since then, Summit has expanded to offer a full range of planning, design, and construction management services, opening our Fairbanks office in 1997 and the Anchorage office in 1998.

Summit has planned, designed, and constructed numerous full-scale community improvement projects for VSW, local Alaskan municipalities, the Alaska Energy Authority, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and the Alaska Department of Commerce Community & Economic Development. 

Summit Consulting Services specializes in practical project planning and design, accurate project cost estimates, effective budget management and accounting, competitive bid for materials procurement, critical path scheduling, mobilization to remote sites, on site superintendence, and quality control services.

Summit Consulting Services has a solid history of successful rural force account sanitation improvement project design and construction management. They manage projects in all regions of the state. Their staff professionals have valuable knowledge of the geographic, climatic, cultural and social characteristics of the villages in every unique region.

Summit's founder and president, David Cramer, has an extensive professional management history in a wide range of Alaska construction projects. Dave is a 47-year rural Alaska resident with over 37 years of experience in estimating, bidding, building and managing projects in Alaskan communities.
