The 72 (La 72 Hogar Refugio Para Personas Migrantes)
The 72 is a Migrant House administered by the Franciscan Province "San Felipe de Jesus" in the Southeast of Mexico; It is a non-profit civil society organization. It is dedicated to comprehensive care for migrants and refugees who enter Mexico through the border of Tenosique, Tabasco, one of the most conflictive and dangerous points on the migration route. Their fundamental task is to welcome, comfort, accompany the vulnerable human being, in this case the migrants and refugees, so punished by the current extractive systems.
During 2016, they served 13,895 people, mostly from Central America. During these years they have evolved as a home to serve migrants in transit to refugees fleeing violence in Honduras and El Salvador, who come to Mexico to ask for international protection, literally to save their lives.See more
