The Egyptian International Centre for Agriculture (EICA)
The Egyptian International Center of the Agriculture "EICA" was established in 1965 within the system of the Agricultural Foreign Relations Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to carry out the crucial role of transferring expertise and technology in agriculture.
Through its training programmes offered jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, EICA has provided scientific and practical experience to help training successfully the professional cadres of Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe.
Besides its flagship activity, its regular courses, EICA organizes training programmes in cooperation with Arab and International Organizations interested in the agricultural development such as the Food and Agriculture Organization FAO, the Japanese Agency for international Cooperation JICA, The Arab League ALO, the International Fund for Agricultural Development IFAD, the African Organization of the Asian Development AARDO, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas ICARDA and others.
Former trainees have obtained leadership positions in their respective countries, reaching even the post of minister and high officials, and they are now keen to enroll their staff in EICA's training programmes to benefit further from the Egyptian experience in agriculture.
In this site you can get all the information regarding the array of training programmes provided by EICA either regular, private or shared.
