Tulun Rai Timor (Timor Aid), is a registered East Timorese non-profit charitable and non-governmental organization (NGO). It was founded in 1998 by East Timorese and long-term East Timor supporters who worked closely with Nobel Peace Laureate Dr. José Ramos-Horta. Currently Timor Aid has a staff of about 80 people with district offices or projects in all 13 districts of the country.
The organisation’s vision is of a peaceful, just East Timor with the capacity to bring prosperity to people so they can live in dignity and harmony with each other, the environment and the region. The orgsnisation’s mission is to model organizational excellence in undertaking programs to achieve sustainable economic, social, and cultural development outcomes.

With a staff of 69 people who regularly participate in capacity building, an impressive list of international donors and operations occurring in all 13 districts of the country, the organisation is in a favourable position for undertaking this task.
