About

Total cares about people, the community, and the environment

Total South Africa is committed to development that is sustainable throughout their business. This begins with the development of their employees and extends to the communities around their operations, depots, service stations and more. It also encompasses their entire value chain of products and services, with their view on development that is both environmentally friendly and customer-centric.

Corporate Social Investment

Total South Africa is on a mission to fuel long-term sustainable growth. Their ambition is to become the responsible Energy Major, contributing to better energy, socio-economic development and upliftment in the communities in which we operate.

The social needs facing their country are substantial and it is a moral duty for big business to make a difference by supporting projects that benefit historically disadvantaged sectors of our society. They are a global leader making a difference through dedicated CSI initiatives in the following key areas: Youth Inclusion & Education, Climate & Environment, Cultural Dialogue & Heritage, Road Safety and Enterprise Development.

With Corporate Social Investment (CSI) becoming ever more strategically focused, it also makes sense for businesses to align their corporate social investment spend with their core business objectives and imperatives. It is through long-term partnerships forged with Non-Profit Organisations, Government, our suppliers, customers and other corporates with a shared vision, that they are able to move CSI out of the charitable sphere into one in which a meaningful change which has a positive and sustainable impact on our beneficiaries is realised.

Through their Employee Volunteer Programme, they also support theri employees who are involved in community volunteer work and encourage all employees to experience the personal rewards of giving their time and talents.
