About

Transparency International U.S. (TI US) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing transparency and accountability as fundamental pillars of democracy, economic prosperity, and peace.

Since its founding in 2020, TI US has catalyzed significant progress in the United States’ efforts to combat corruption domestically and internationally through research, advocacy, policy development, and strategic engagement. Its accomplishments include contributing to the passage of the most consequential U.S. anticorruption and anti-money laundering law in a generation—the Corporate Transparency Act—as well as the most important U.S. anti-foreign-bribery law in nearly 50 years—the Foreign Extortion Prevention Act—among other achievements. TI US has achieved these milestones by building strong partnerships with a politically diverse coalition of allies, including business associations, law enforcement officials, national security experts, faith-based organizations, and both conservative and liberal advocates and scholars.

As the U.S. chapter of Transparency International, TI US is part of the world’s largest global movement against corruption, which includes over 110 independent national chapters coordinated by the Transparency International Secretariat based in Berlin. With a shared mission, collective resources, and global reach, TI US contributes to transformative change at an international level.

Based in Washington, D.C., TI US operates as a 501(c)(3) organization under the fiscal sponsorship of the Fund for Constitutional Government (FCG). This partnership allows TI US to maximize its impact while maintaining minimal overhead.

TI US continues to invite participation and support from policymakers, business leaders, donors, advocates, and engaged citizens to help advance its mission. Through collective action, the organization strives to challenge corruption, strengthen democratic institutions, and promote a more just and equitable world.
