The Union of Crisis Centers of Kazakhstan is a voluntary association of legal entities registered in the Almaty City Department of Justice on March 26, 2000.

The Union of Crisis Centers of Kazakhstan is a professional network that unites 13 organizations from 11 regions of Kazakhstan. The work is aimed at the prevention of gender-based violence and all forms of discrimination, the formation of a culture of non-violent relations in society and the creation of an effective mechanism for the influence of the public, in particular, members of the Union, on the content of policies and decisions taken by state authorities and local self-government bodies at the national and local levels on the problem of preventing domestic violence in Kazakhstan, in accordance with the main international human rights standards and, including, the principles and regulations from the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.

The activities of the Union are supported on the basis of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, information and culture of the RK, transport and communication of the RK, health of the RK, justice of the RK, the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Children of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RK, the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. And also international and republican funds, the media and NGOs.

The Union of Crisis Centers of Kazakhstan is a member of the Central Asian Forum of Women's Organizations, the Central Asian Network Against Domestic Violence, the Kazakh Coalition of Independent Women's Organizations, the international network of children's telephone lines Child Helpline International.
