his interdisciplinary school provides an exciting and stimulating environment where excellence in teaching and research are highly valued, and they provide opportunities for students and staff to pursue their scientific ambitions. The excellence of our research was confirmed in the recent government REF assessment in which 90% of our submitted papers were judged to be internationally excellent or world-leading.  

The School of Life Sciences has a growing reputation for both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research, which covers a wide spectrum of the Life Sciences.

Since August 2014 they have been enjoying working in our new laboratories named The Joseph Banks Laboratories and Minster House, the first buildings of the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park. These are in addition to our fantastic purpose-built Science Building, and is a direct example of our growth as a School over recent years.
