Urgent Action Fund-Africa is a human rights and feminist organisation which invests in the transformation of the world in which women live, enabling them to have full and equal enjoyment of their human rights.

The Fund is committed to enhancing women’s leadership to bring about justice, equity and to contribute to the creation of a society free of disruptive conflicts.

Their Mission is to add value to the work of women’s organisations and activists in Africa by providing rapid response grants and resources to enable them effectively engage in situations of confl ict and take advantage of opportunities and identify gaps for strategic interventions to advance women’s human rights.

Urgent Action Fund-Africa, is a consciously feminist and women’s human rights pan-African Fund registered in Nairobi, Kenya. Operating as an innovative virtual organisation, the Fund boasts a strategic presence in Africa’s four sub-regions in East Africa: Nairobi, Kenya & Dar es salaam, Tanzania; North Africa: Cairo, Egypt; Southern Africa; Harare, Zimbabwe; and West Africa: Abuja, Nigeria.
