World Vision is a Christian aid organization with a focus on sustainable development cooperation, humanitarian aid and development advocacy. We support children, families and their environment in the fight against poverty and injustice. As Christians of different denominations, World Vision employees help people in need around the world, regardless of ethnic origin, religion or nationality. World Vision Germany is part of the worldwide World Vision network, which is active in almost a hundred countries.
The World Vision aid organization has existed in Germany since 1979. Currently, more than 150,000 sponsors give children all over the world hope and prospects for a better future. With your sponsorship you support sustainable regional development projects that help the sponsored child as well as the family and the village community. The well-being of babies and small children is particularly important to us. Given the difficult circumstances into which they are born, they particularly need our care.
World Vision Germany is checked and recommended by the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) and is subject to the voluntary commitment of the German Donation Council. World Vision Germany is a member of “Aktion Deutschland Hilft”, the alliance of ten German aid organizations under the patronage of Richard von Weizsäcker. Internationally, World Vision maintains official working relationships with the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF and has advisory status with the Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
