Youth Network for Sustainable Development (YNSD) is a non-governmental, non-profit making indigenous organization that was found in 2003 by four school clubs and fifteen youth associations. Currently, YNSD is an umbrella Network for more than 160 youth organizations/associations at the national level.

After its establishment in 2003, YNSD was registered under the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) Ministry of Justice in 2004 with a registration number 1644. Following the Charities and Societies legislation, the organization was re-registered under the FDRE Charities and Societies Agency in February 2010 with registration number 1442 as Consortium of Ethiopian Resident Charities. YNSD’s accounts are annually audited by authorized audit companies and its work permit is renewed every three years.
