With more than 25 years of experience as a Project/Program Manager/Director and Team Leader, I am able to establish strong working relationships with partners, communities, counterparts and team members. I have built up a wide range of experience and skills including, but not limited to, assessments, program development; management and evaluation; undertaking key roles in rural development, food security, economic recovery (ER), security sector reform (SSR) programs; Operations/Support Services; and grants management. I have hands-on experience of establishing new programs as well as closing out offices and programs at the end of activities. This also includes: needs assessment; evaluations; reviews of projects, programs and operations including setting up systems; as well as planning and implementing necessary restructuring. I am experienced with OTI programs and have a hands-on experience with setting up new projects offices, systems and orienting staff for that. I was a key member of the British Council team which implemented the Police Training and Development component of the Sudan Justice and Security Programme (JSP). During the years I spent working on the JSP, I augmented the team's communications and liaison function, built ties with key government stakeholders and the donor community in order to raise the profile of the policing reform process. I also played a technical role, training and mentoring staff for the newly-created Training Development Units (TDUs). My experience includes translation Arabic to English. I undertook translation of scientific materials, training mateials, communitues' surveys as well as reports. I also do prove read translated materials.
