With over 20 years of extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, reporting, and research within international development programing, I have excelled in designing and implementing comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems across a diverse range of programs, including HIV, maternal and child health, urban health, government capacity strengthening, market systems, economic growth, food security, nutrition and resilience, and agricultural development. My expertise encompasses the entire MEL cycle—from the development of results and creation of results frameworks, to developing result measurement indicators, developing electronic data management systems, developing standard operating procedures to ensuring data quality, conducting detailed data analysis, and producing reports that meet program requirements and donor standards. My skills include designing and executing both small-scale and large-scale population-based and facility-based surveys, with proficiency in survey design, sampling strategies, determining sample size, and comprehensive data analysis, including both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. My experience also extends to integrating Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) approaches into project management, enhancing program effectiveness through continuous learning and adaptation. I have successfully developed and implemented capacity-building initiatives that strengthen program staff’s ability to improve access, quality, and use of strategic information for decision-making. I have a strong track record of providing technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation, policy analysis, and evidence-based advocacy. Additionally, I possess a robust background in Management Information Systems (MIS), with expertise in tools such as ActivityInfo, HMIS Service Point, ODK, Kobo, Power BI, and SPSS. Throughout my career, I have worked with leading international development NGOs, including John Snow Incorporated (JSI), Family Health International (now FHI 360), Pact, ACDI/VOCA, and World Health Organization / Africa Regional Office (WHO/AFRO), managing large-scale programs across Africa funded by major donors like USAID (PEPFAR, FTF, FFP, Transform), USDA, and DfID.
