I am an experienced financial inclusion professional, with a distinguished career built over 17 years with a solid record of impact accomplishments demonstrating breadth of capability in Business Finance & Advisory, Business Development, Entrepreneurial Support, Strategic Planning, Organizational Development, Enterprise Growth & Management, Marketing & Value Chain Development, Structured Trade Financing, Budget Development & Administration, Social Enterprise Creation, Program Development & Implementation, and Sustainable Finance. My hands-on expertise has been built working with entrepreneurial units of large global, regional and also non-profit sector organizations. This experience is largely in the financial inclusion sector more particularly in the Agriculture and renewable energy space. I possess hands on experience in diverse senior roles at leading financial institutions in Kenya (Standard Chartered, Stanbic, Bank of Africa) and consultancy in the private sector, devolved government units and leading development co-operation agencies such as ,GIZ, USAID, World Bank and the Nordic Development Fund. I have extensive regional experience in the East Africa region. I have progressively steered my expertise into green financing through supporting access to finance for renewable energy and cleaner production projects and agriculture. I have achieved this through linking financiers to green and renewable energy and agriculture stakeholders in the MSME space. I am also passionate about socio-economic development interplay with gender issues, promotion of youth affairs, culture and heritage and protection of vulnerable groups. As part of the ongoing Feed the Future - Kenya Investment Mechanism, a USAID funded project, I have been instrumental in providing Business Advisory Services to agribusinesses plus facilitating access to finance/financial inclusion efforts as a precursor to sustainable scaling of their production capacities towards enhancing food security. I am a holder of a Master’s degree in Business Administration (University of Nairobi) and a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Moi University), I have also completed numerous other professional courses in business finance, international trade, credit administration, portfolio management, lending to MSME’s and Corporates, leasing and asset finance, markets development, public private partnerships, sustainable finance, renewable energy, human resource development, research methods, data analysis, organizational development, coaching and mentorship, economic policy analysis, among others. I am an accomplished financial sector strategy and solution-oriented manager who thrives in challenging, fast paced environments where my performance directly impacts the bottom line.
