I am a college graduate with a degree on Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Accounting. I also earned 42 MBA (Masters in Business Administration) units from my college alma mater. I am a Certified Forensic Accountant (CrFA). . I have external and internal auditing experiences in addition to my accounting and finance exposures in the Philippines and overseas (Middle East/East Africa/Central Asia). I have 30+ years of experience covering these fields. My most recent overseas stint was with a Singapore-based international development company/MNC (US) for almost 3 years as a Senior Finance Officer covering its AusAID- and USAID-funded programs where I got deployed in various volatile locations in Afghanistan. As a Service Contractor, I was with the United Nations Development Programme as a Finance and Administration Officer for its Crisis Prevention and Recovery Unit based in Guiuan, Eastern Samar, Philippines which is the first landfall place of Typhoon Haiyan. Then, in Manila, I was with an international non-profit organization, The Asia Foundation, as its Program Finance Officer. I did financial reports and forecasting for its USAID/USG/DOS/DFAT/DFID/DFATD/UNICEF-funded projects. Recently under a full-time consultancy agreement, I was with a Canadian international non-profit organization, Artisanal Gold Council, as its National Finance Expert. I produced financial statements/reports. Oversaw and led country annual budgeting and planning, reviewed all financial plans and budgets. Set-up policies on contract and financial management. Setup/improve business and accounting practices. Oversaw the registration of the Philippine representative office with SEC. Currently, I am with a US-based global professional organization, the University Research Co. LLC, as Finance and Admin Director for a USAID-funded project RenewHealth. I provide overall operational support to the project team. I am responsible for all financial and administrative functions of the project, including the management of accounting and financial transactions, URC-required monthly/bi-monthly financial reporting, and management of daily project administration. I lead the development of administrative and operations management systems and processes required to maintain project implementation and guarantee that these processes follow URC internal policies and USAID policies and regulations. I assist in the development of project budgets and oversee procurement processes. I have an excellent written and oral English communications skill.
