I am a Global health and Development expert coupled with technical expertise in the following areas: HIV prevention, Treatment and Care; Child Health; Maternal Health; Reproductive Health; Tuberculosis; Non-Communicable Diseases, Health Systems Strengthening; Quality improvement/quality assurance in health systems; Behavioral Interventions and Adolescent Girls and Women programmes. I have got over 18 years of extensive international and local development experience in designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating large health related programs, 16 years of which have been in senior management positions working with local governments, civil societies, interfaith organization, and communities implementing health programs in Angola, Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho, Tanzania and Zambia. Currently Iam with United Nations - UNAIDS as the Global Senior Community Support Advisor for the Eastern and Southern Africa, supporting countries on HIV Prevention strategy focusing on HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, Adolescent Girls and Young Women in the region. I have got substantial experience in managing international and local relations with national level sub recipient as well as coordinating project consortiums to build the capacity of consortium members.
