Summary

I am an international education consultant specializing in teacher professional development, early childhood education and education governance. I have worked primarily in South and Central Asia and Central and Eastern Europe. My experience includes numerous consultancies to evaluate teacher education systems for USAID, Asian Development Bank, Open Society Institutes and World Vision. I have also managed USAID-funded education projects and academic exchanges, including the Fulbright Scholars program. More recently I have managed education programs for refugee children and their parents. In addition to my international experience, I have taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in comparative and international education, international higher education, teacher education and Russian language and literature. I have also worked as a secondary level foreign language and history teacher, and I have a thorough knowledge of the education field both at home and abroad. Recent consultancies include helping Asian Development Bank and the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science develop a teacher education strategy, and a gap-analysis and concept note to recommend education reforms in the South Caucasus on behalf of UNESCO.
