Amira Shoukry

Amira is an International Development professional with more than 18 years of experience in sustainable development, financial inclusion, microfinance, MSME development, OSSs, BDS for MSMEs and sustainable economic growth. She worked with multiple donor-funded development programs, local and international development organizations, private sector and non-governmental organizations. With her vast experience in program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, outreach, communication, research, product and business development and monitoring and evaluation for multi-disciplinary international development programs; her experience comes as an added value to many previous USAID's projects, private sector associations and public sector entities. She delivered effective consulting and training services to build business association capacity to develop and implement strategic plans and business plans, upgrade their management systems, support policy advocacy initiatives, recruit members and deliver effective member services, and generate revenues to sustain their operations and services. She also worked on the analysis of micro-enterprise and SME value chains and implementation of strategies to improve value-chain performance and product competitiveness, including delivering business development services through business centers and other channels, designing market information and e-commerce systems, developing market linkages, improving access to finance, and implementing workforce development programs to develop enterprises capacities. Her efforts to enable better business environment were recognized through working with government ministries and private sector stakeholders analyzing policies, regulations, and administrative constraints affecting private sector growth and implementing measures to develop more favorable business enabling environments.
