Summary

I have extensive experience in the areas of Sustainable Finance, Climate-Smart Agriculture Impact Investing, Sustainable Value Chains and Corporate Social Responsibility. In 2017 I co-founded Alimi Impact Venture, an advisory firm with a think-do tank mentality to unlock the potential of impact investing in Latin America including new players and finance models. I am also leading the set-up of the Climate-Smart Investing Group, founded by Brazilian next-gens collaborating to support early-stage financing of climate-smart businesses. In the last years I have been working with several impact investing mandates for deal flow development with concluded projects structuring and effective investing. The latest one was for Rabobank Foundation and the investing in a group of smallholder farmers in agroecology in the Brazilian Savanna. In 2018 I have managed the development of a market assessment about Impact Investing in Climate-Smart Agriculture in Brazil (including Agroforestry, different arrangements with standing forest, smallholder farmers’ engagement and agroecology). The current pro-bono activities include being a board member of Insper Metricis a research center for impact measurement methods and social impact bonds; and the mentoring for a project for gender empowerment of Agri-Women in the context of the Brazilian Savanna conservation. In the last ten years, I have developed and managed projects in the areas of public value creation and business model innovation in the area of sustainable food chains integration from family farmers to consumers in Brazil, Mexico and Peru. Founded the Impact Investing Latin America, a multi-stakeholder platform. From 2009 to 2017 I worked on the establishment and managed the University of St.Gallen (Swiss) office for Latin America. The main responsibilities included building a network of regional collaboration, development of research and consulting projects, fund raising, executive education. For over ten years I was responsible for Marketing and Brand Management for LatAm countries and Spain for Lafarge-Holcim, having worked in Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Switzerland (expat). Before that I worked in the areas of Marketing and Communications in the companies: Bechtel, ABB, Bayer and Kodak. Along the senior consulting years in Switzerland, I developed an environmental services brand and business strategy followed by its implementation in Asia, USA and Costa Rica. www.geocycle.com. Member of the Kellogg University Sustainable Finance Consortium. Partnership with the Yale Tropical Forest Alliance and the University of Maastricht Sustainable Investing Master Program. Associated Researcher at CORS-University of Sao Paulo. PhD in Organizational Studies at University of St. Gallen Switzerland (2012).
