Aro Leonard, Development Communications/Media Development, Broadcast and Environment Expert. I was Head of Media Development and External Relations at BBC Media Action, where I led a team to secure the organisation’s status as “media development partner of choice” for major donor agencies. This was done by effectively managing partnerships and playing key roles in business development and project design/implementation. I was also responsible for designing and delivering all capacity building activities. Earlier, I produced the award-winning youth reproductive health magazine show “Flava” and one of the largest HIV Spots campaign in the world, as well as outputs on environment. I previously worked as a producer with Internews Network and Aso Radio. In 1999 I founded Kleverest Scenta - Nigeria’s foremost media volunteer scheme where young broadcasters have been trained. Currently with an extensive media goodwill, I consult for Development/Corporate Organisations and set up Radio and TV stations - building capacity for development focused programmes. I set up and sustained the first Healthy Lifestyle and Edu-tainment station in Nigeria. I am a music composer. a Live Sound Instructor and an Environmental and Resources Planner.
