Cameron Diver

Cameron Diver is an accomplished senior leader and lawyer with over 20 years of experience in political affairs, international relations, sustainable development, international cooperation and legal practice. He has extensive experience and proven ability in providing strategic direction and leadership at organisation level, together with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills which allow him to influence and engage effectively in bilateral, regional and multilateral diplomacy, stakeholder development, resource mobilisation and partnership building. Cameron has significant experience managing large and complex programmes, offices, staff and budgets in centralised and decentralised contexts, and in multicultural and multilingual environments. His broad array of skills range from executive leadership, representation, advocacy, resource mobilisation, strategy and policy to management of corporate support areas (finance, human resources, information and communication technology, legal affairs, facilities, general administration, language and conference services), and sustainable development programmes across sectors such as climate change and environmental sustainability, conservation, public health, statistics, fisheries, ocean affairs, human rights, gender, youth and culture. Cameron also has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, negotiation and providing strategic legal advice to a wide variety of stakeholders including international organisations, governments and private parties. Specialising in international law and environmental law, he also has considerable experience in public, civil, administrative and regulatory matters, before first instance and appellate jurisdictions. Cameron has been directly involved in the negotiation of international treaties and the settlement of international disputes, including high value, sensitive proceedings with both States and private parties.
