Summary

30 years of experience as a development practitioner in the LAC Region developing, negotiating and managing a portfolio of lending, technical assistance (grants) and credit lines valued at over 500 million dollars. I offer an ideal blend of experience in social safeguards, youth development, community development, public administration and project monitoring and evaluation for analysis, lesson learning and feedback. For the past 10 years, as COP and/or DCOP, I have provided vision and direction to USAID funded youth development and juvenile justice programs in Mexico, Suriname, the Eastern & Southern Caribbean and Honduras. Prior to this I was a Social Development Specialist for the IADB, where I was a staff member for over 17 years. I have also worked as consultant with the United Nations Development Program, the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Development Bank. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese with tested experience mentoring public sector and civil society leaders at the national, sub-regional and local levels on integrated and results oriented social development projects and the importance of good governance and effective strategic partnerships for sustainability.
