Cezanne Mujibul Hasan

An expert on private sector development (PSD) with over 14 years’ experience in international development cooperation. With deep understanding of inclusive growth, has applied Market Systems thinking on a day-to-day basis in several rural and urban sectors in Swisscontact's Katalyst-Bangladesh programme between 2006 and 2014 (www.katalyst.com.bd), and more recently, from March 2016 until August 2020, in Swisscontact's Sahaj (NAMDP) project in Nepal (www.sahaj-namdp.org). Has also worked as short-term Market Systems Development (MSD) expert for programmes in Indonesia (AIP-PRISMA) and Cambodia (CHAIN) between 2015 and 2016. A natural leader and mentor, has significant project management experience, with around 8 years serving senior-level-management roles in Nepal and Bangladesh. Possesses outstanding analytical skills and a proven flair for implementation. Also, has acquired vast monitoring and result measurement (MRM) experiences, with sound knowledge of 'DCED standards' (www.enterprise-development.org), over the past 14 years. Currently working as the Bangladesh Country Director of Swisscontact (www.swisscontact.org). Prior to this, worked as the Deputy Team Leader and Portfolio Manager at the Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme (Branded as Sahaj; implemented by Swisscontact and mandated by SDC). Before Sahaj, headed the whole Sector Portfolio of the Katalyst project in its phase 3, from March 2013 to August 2014. Also served senior-management and mid-level-management positions for over 4 years in Katalyst Phase 2. Moreover, worked as senior technical advisor at Swisscontact for different projects in in South Asia and South-east Asia. Between 2008 and 2016, has worked as short-term consultant (as MSD/M4P, Value-chain and MRM expert) in different countries including Fiji, Timor Leste, Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Macedonia, India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
