Chiamaka Chinwendu (She / Her)

Chiamaka is an experienced program and social sector manager across Consulting and Development sectors, who has led design and implementation of interventions that support young changemakers to build and scale sustainable and impactful social enterprises. In her current role at the Gates Foundation, she leads Nigeria country wide project coordination, anchors internal and external high level leadership engagement, provides programmatic support to the team, and manages partner engagement within Nigeria. Chiamaka has a strong competence in project management, building and managing key stakeholder, partner and government relationships to deliver organizational value. An avid advocate for youth inclusion and women’s leadership, she has implemented leadership, employability and education programs in Nigeria, Malawi, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, etc. In her former role as a Senior Programmes Coordinator at LEAP Africa, she led one of the organization's strategic pillars organization’s in raising and enabling young talents for the actualization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and provided strategic advisory and ecosystem support to young social innovators. Through her management consulting experience, she specializes in strategy articulation & business planning, organizational development, customer experience advisory and cost optimization.
