I have worked in the DFS / A2F / MFI sector as an implementation consultant and manager for the last 15 years in SSA and MENA regions. This has been on over 170 contracts. I established my own DFS consultancy in Tanzania 2011-2014. I have worked for an MNO, a Payment Service Provider and as a financial inclusion specialist where I developed TA SoWs and vendor RFPs, managed consultants and approved deliverables to build MFI capacity. I have consulted to banks and MFIs as DFS service providers. I have worked in multiple sectors – finance, agriculture, public health, solar and FMCG. My core competences are: strategizing and implementing end-to-end financial inclusion solutions, developing the business case and the use of ADCs to accelerate financial inclusion, market assessments. I have an in-depth understanding of regulators, agents, merchants, customers and service providers, the use of project management and Human Centred Design and prototyping principles for product development. I have 6-years prior commercial experience, a marketing bachelor’s degree, a post-degree certificate in Microfinance, I’m studying investment banking as used by the top 4 Wall Street banks, and I was the 1st globally to complete the 3-year (masters equivalent) course to become a Certified Digital Finance Practionner.
