I am a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) specialist with expertise in food security, agricultural development, and economic growth programming. I recently concluded a role as the Director for Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) at the Institute for Development Impact (I4DI). As part of my role at I4DI, I provided technical guidance and MERL support on agricultural development and economic resilience projects and led ongoing MERL business development processes. Before joining I4DI, I managed MERL portfolios for USAID as a Program Officer in the Center for Economics and Market Development (EMD) and the Bureau for Resilience and Food Security (RFS). I am well-versed in USAID’s MERL and Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) frameworks, as well as program management and contract processes, having served as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for two USAID projects. I also have extensive international experience including long-term assignments with ACDI/VOCA in Tanzania, through the Mickey Leland International Hunger Fellows Program, and with Olam International in Ghana as a Princeton in Africa Fellow. I hold a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy and a Master of Science in Food Policy & Nutrition from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy, both at Tufts University, as well as a B.A. in Political Economy from Georgetown University.
