Experienced sustainable finance and development economist with over twelve years of international experience across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Proven track record in designing and implementing SDG-aligned and climate-resilient financing solutions, including green and blue bonds, SDG-linked loans, municipal finance frameworks, and impact investment platforms. As Chief Technical Expert at UNDP Indonesia, he coordinated the Accelerating SDG Investments in Indonesia (ASSIST) Joint Programme, mobilising over USD 5 billion in public and private capital. He provided strategic and technical leadership to advise Indonesia’s first SDG-aligned impact fund, enabled the thematic bond ecosystem, and strengthened subnational climate finance through municipal bonds and ecological fiscal transfers. Previously, he advised the Government of Fiji on climate finance under the NDC Investment Plan and supported investment planning for transport electrification. At ICIMOD Nepal, he developed financing models for solar-powered irrigation and conducted climate-smart agriculture research, influencing national subsidy policy. Devjit is skilled in stakeholder engagement, policy advisory, impact measurement, and donor reporting. He possesses deep familiarity with ICMA, SDG Impact Standards, ISSB, and IRIS+. He holds advanced degrees in development and quantitative economics.
