Summary

With nearly three decades of significant international experience, I am a seasoned development professional known for my leadership in project and headquarters roles. I served as chief of party for 15 years on USAID-funded economic growth projects, focusing on private sector development, agriculture, and food security across Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. My work has consistently resulted in major development outcomes, including enhanced industry and enterprise competitiveness and the implementation of business-enabling reforms. My success is rooted in my ability to work effectively with host country leaders and project partners. I excel in engaging and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, bringing together government institutions, businesses and private sector organizations, NGOs, and development partners to achieve shared goals. I have a proven track record of enabling business and government leaders and empowering project staff to define and shape locally-led development interventions, supporting them to help them execute their ideas. My comprehensive project management skills span planning and budgeting, execution and monitoring, human resource management, finance and administration, contracting and procurement, and communications. Additionally, I have extensive experience managing subcontractors and grantees, from selection and awarding to technical oversight, all while upholding rigorous and ethical business practices to ensure value for money. Furthermore, I have successfully researched, designed, and written winning technical and management proposals for USAID-funded projects, especially those focused on economic growth, trade, agriculture, and food security. I have also led or influenced partnering, recruiting, and budgeting decisions. More than half of the proposals I led were successful, resulting in contracts valued at more than one hundred million dollars. My career has taken me to many countries across Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, providing me with a broad and diverse perspective on global development challenges and solutions. I hold an M.B.A. and M.A. in International Development, and a B.S. in Environmental Management, underpinning my practical experience with a strong academic foundation. I speak English, Lingala, and basic French. I am a U.S. citizen.
