Eleanor is a highly strategic leader and results-oriented consultant, with cross-sectoral and cross-cultural experience. Eleanor’s leadership roles include seven years living overseas, as Country Director for Cambodia/Thailand/Thai Burma Border with Australian Volunteers International and as Country Director in Sri Lanka with ChildFund International. Since returning to Australia she has led programs as Head of Impact, with United Way Australia and most recently, was Chief Executive Officer for six years with Engineers Without Borders, Australia. She has expertise in institutional strengthening, capacity development, locally-led engagement, strategic planning, localisation, community-informed program design, First Nations allyship, mobilisation of technical personnel and impact-focused results. Eleanor has led programs in a range of sectors including: Climate Adaptation, Emergency Recovery, Midwifery, Disability Inclusion, Nutrition, SRHR, WASH and Infrastructure projects.
