Elissa Miolene is a journalist currently based in San Francisco, California. Her work has appeared in the The Wall Street Journal, the San Francisco Chronicle, Devex, Washingtonian Magazine, The San Jose Mercury News, AP News, and other outlets across the world. Throughout her career, Elissa has been dedicated to storytelling, with a particular focus on feature writing. For seven years, Elissa has also led such efforts at humanitarian agencies like UNICEF, CARE International, and Save the Children, working in East Africa, South Asia, and the United States. In 2022, Elissa earned a master's degree in journalism from Stanford University, where she received the James Robinson Award for outstanding reporting and the Lorry I. Lokey Business Wire Fellowship. Elissa also holds a master's degree in policy and a bachelor's degree in journalism and global studies, both from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
