Gavin Weise

Gavin Thompson Weise is an expert on democracy and elections programming. He has more than 20 years of management and technical experience in the public, private and nongovernmental sectors. He is currently the managing partner of The iVote Group, LLC, a consulting and software development firm specializing in services related to good governance and transparency programs and project management. He has designed numerous elections and political process assistance programs, including for USAID and implementing partners, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), bilateral aid agencies and national electoral authorities. His experience also includes needs and sectoral assessments, project implementation and administration, and independent evaluations. Mr. Weise has been an election trainer both in the US and internationally, has designed and carried-out voter education programs, e-Learning training courses for polling officials, and assessment tools for election management bodies to measure performance, training, accessibility, and other election administration issues. He has served in an advisory capacity to election commissions in addition to working with several other national government agencies and judicial institutions on election and governance issues. Mr. Weise has also worked with international organizations and NGOs on access to justice, election observation, and governance and political finance monitoring.
