George Mankhwala

I am a seasoned Procurement and Supply Chain Management professional with over 24 years of progressive experience in public procurement oversight, supply chain strategy, financial management and contract administration. Currently, I serve as a Procurement Expert for DT Global US overseeing Global Fund and the Global Alliance on Vaccines Immunization (GAVI) programs in Malawi. I have also been a Technical Evaluation Panel Member for the Millenium Challenge Corporation, having contributed to the Compact Development Teams in Kosovo and Timor Leste. Academically, I am pursuing a Master of Law (LLM) in Public Procurement Law & Policy at the University of Nottingham, UK, complementing my MSc in Supply Chain Management from Bolton University, UK, and a Bachelor`s degree in Accountancy & Finance from the University of Malawi. My career highlights include national-level procurement reforms, spearheading SAP-ERP implementation and establishing robust contract management systems. I am a full member of the Malawi Institute of Procurement and Supply (MIPS) and an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute of procurement & Supply (CIPS), with deep familiarity with international procurement frameworks including those of the World Bank, United Nations, Millenium Challenge Corporation, African Development Bank, Global Fund and the Global Alliance on Vaccine Immunizations (GAVI).
