As a senior manager at Gavi the Vaccine Alliance, I work within the Health Systems and Immunization Strengthening team leading the development and implementation of policy for Primary Health Care Integration, life course immunization and HPV revitalization. With 16 years of experience in both developing countries and global health, I collaborate with Alliance partners to advance immunization and health systems objectives, supporting sustainable development goals. My mission is to strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes, particularly for the poor. I have a strong background in field epidemiology, health financing, and systems approaches. Before joining Gavi, I served as Chief of Party and Country Representative at FHI 360, where I provided technical and enterprise leadership for a diverse health development portfolio in Zimbabwe. I also advised the government on disease control and maternal and child health. I have published and contributed to several papers on infectious diseases and maternal and newborn health. I hold a Medical Degree and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town. I am studying towards a Master of Science in Health Economics and Health Policy with Brunel University London.
