At present, I am a Senior Expert for the IFC-funded project titled “Assessment of Agribusiness Logistics: (LIA) Logistics Investment Assessment for Logistic Centres in Egypt”. My duties includes elaborating a Legal and Regulatory Framework needed for Egypt in order to increase logistic investments. This included a full series of sector interviews and consultations with main key players, an assessment of international best practices, and a final set of recommendations and adaptation to the Egyptian scenario. The is leading to improvement of the legal and regulatory framework aimed at facilitating investments in the logistic sector by providing a clear liability framework and legal environment for the development of multimodal transport and logistics services. I am also the Team Leader for the EU-Funded Project titled “Reform of the Egyptian Transport Sector”. The Project provides support to the Ministry of Transport in its endeavor to reform all modes of transport.
