Retired from United Nations having worked for nine UN agencies (FAO, UNICEF, UNODC, UNDP, ILO, UNESCO, IFAD etc.) in more than 9 countries. I am a civil engineer specialized in hydropower and working on water resources, sanitation, water supply, and renewable energy development. I hold a degree in agriculture extension and engage in smart agriculture development, including climate change situations. My last 30 years have been devoted to integrated rural development for poverty alleviation, opium poppy eradication, agriculture development, hydropower extraction, etc. in Laos. I am physically very fit and passionate about rural development, empowerment of women in governance, renewable energy development for poverty alleviation, to improve standards living of rural populations.
