Summary

Janet is a strategic communications leader and development specialist with over two decades of experience shaping impactful programmes across West Africa. Her work has contributed to meaningful change in the areas of governance, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), agriculture, and grant-making - delivering results in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Côte d’Ivoire. With a unique background spanning media, development communications, and local governance, Janet bridges technical expertise with a powerful ability to influence policy, drive behavioural change, and lead stakeholder engagement strategies across complex environments. She began her career as a broadcast journalist, working with top Ghanaian media houses such as Joy FM, Uniiq FM, and Choice FM. Since then, she has evolved into a trusted advisor and programme lead, collaborating with global development partners including Research Triangle International, WaterAid Ghana, IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, Coffey International (STAR-Ghana), Solidaridad West Africa, the European Union Delegations in Ghana and Liberia, the Oxford Internet Institute and UNDP Sierra Leone. Janet is passionate about inclusion, voice, and equity. She actively volunteers with Rotary International and serves as First Vice President of the Ghana Blind Union. She is also a proud member of the Water and Sanitation Rotarian Action Group (WASRAG).
