Qualified Legal Officer with a demonstrated history of working in judicial and human rights affairs, I am currently working as a Judge since 5 years. Prior to this position, I worked as Public Prosecutor for 5 years. I previously worked for the United Nations within the DR Congo Justice Mapping Project as an investigator with a focus on documenting serious violations of human rights and International Humanitarian Law committed from 1993 to 2003 in the DR Congo. Before that, I spent more than 8 years’ experience working as staff and consultant on human rights and child protection, advocacy in favor of the improvement of access to justice, the fight against sexual violence, the building of the rule of law and the fight against impunity through the implementation of transitional justice mechanisms, etc. for various organizations. I conducted several research and advocacy missions and drafted numerous reports on human rights issues. I hold a LL.M in International and European Human Rights Law from the University of Nantes(France), a LL.M in International and Comparative Environmental Law from University of Limoges(France) and a Master degree(Bac+5) in Public law. Proficient in French, English and Swahili (mother tongue) with ability to interact in multicultural environments through a culturally-sensitive approach.
