Johannes J. (Hans) Groenendijk MSc

J.J. (Hans) Groenendijk Started his career as a beer brewery technician. After obtaining an MSc in Tropical Forestry he developed as an international expert on natural resource and wildlife management with extensive experience in Africa, Latin America and in Europe. He developed entrepreneurial models for small scale artisan forest products and local fishery in African countries. He organized and managed semi-public enterprises in the Netherlands. He worked on promoting and implementation of integrated rural development programs and on educational, institutional and public service reinforcement. He has a long time management experience of civil engineering projects and urban forestry. To date he is an international expert on sustainable and integrated rural development. His specific interest are in tropical forest and wildlife management, non-timber forest and tree products’ value chain development. His latest assignments were in Indonesia, Morocco Honduras, Vietnam, the Philippines and the Great Lakes Region (Rwanda, Burundi, DRC) and in Mali.
