Summary

• Twenty years of solid experience in health systems development and public health programming, including expertise in maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS prevention, medical oxygen ecosystems, and healthcare leadership. • In-depth experience in health quality improvement across multiple countries (Uganda, South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Lesotho); • In-depth knowledge of continuous quality improvement (CQI). Successfully implemented CQI systems for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) in Uganda, leading to their integration into national health standards and improved service delivery across 26 districts; • Strong leadership in health systems is strengthening. Directed the development of Lesotho’s first national medical oxygen scale-up plan, addressing critical gaps during the COVID-19 pandemic and enhancing the national supply chain infrastructure; • Extensive experience in donor engagement. Managed projects funded by USAID and PEPFAR with annual budgets exceeding $10 million, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and achieving program objectives; • Hands-on program implementation. Served as Agreement Officer’s Representative for the Khanya Activity ($19M), supervising the delivery of HIV prevention services to vulnerable groups. • Broad expertise in monitoring and evaluation. Designed and operationalised MEL frameworks for HIV prevention and family planning programs, ensuring robust data collection and analysis to inform program improvements; • Skilled in the development of strategic plans, research publications, policy briefs, detailed reports, and key documents for health program implementation and policy advocacy; • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build institutional and individual capacities in technical teams across the public health sector. Led capacity-building initiatives for health staff in Uganda and Malawi, empowering them with skills to enhance the sustainability of health programs, including managing HIV/AIDS prevention and maternal health initiatives.
