I am a seasoned professional, able to draw carefully on more than 35 years' experience of working in various education sub-sectors – including adult education and VET – in some 30 countries, gradually progressing from classroom teaching through teacher training and institutional strengthening to programme/project formulation and management, and research. My great loves professionally are strengthening learning outcomes through better institutional leadership, supporting the development of professional standards (of teachers and institutional leaders) and co-designing / implementing innovative training programmes that help practitioners to achieve these, and managing technical assistance so that it brings about real change.
