• Relevant academic background - Master's Degree in Philosophy and Master's Degree in Social Work; • International development leader with 22+ years' experience in managing multi-sector community development programs, with deep expertise in the health and nutrition sectors, for Governments, NGOs, corporations, and foundations in India, Nigeria, and Ethiopia; • Action-oriented program manager skilled at innovating and testing new ideas, screening new initiatives, conducting feasibility studies, writing reports, and implementing projects that have directly and indirectly impacted the lives of 100+ million poor people; • Excellent fundraising and resources mobilisation skills - raised US$ 200+M in the last 10 years for multi-sector programs through multi-sectoral partnerships and relationships with public donors (sovereign bilateral donors and international organizations) and private donors (corporations, foundations, High-Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs), and citizens); • Skilled in developing and maintaining sectoral and multi sectoral partnerships (across Environment, Education, Health, Nutrition and WASH). Successfully setup partnerships between national and local governments, non-government organizations (NGOs), and businesses in India, Ethiopia, and Nigeria.; • Proven working experience and knowledge of the rules and guidelines of various stakeholders, including Government officials, Governors of states, Board of Directors of large corporations, bilateral donors, MDBs, the United Nations (UN), private donors, NGOs, civil society and academic institutions; • Sound abilities to train and build the capacity of 500+ professionals at different levels beginning from the frontline workers to senior managers and Government staff in various technical areas, such as, fundraising and management, business development, program management & implementation, and results-based monitoring; • Experienced in preparing strategies, roadmaps, and key performance indicators to address complex challenges through analytical work, operational work from the grassroots level to the policy level, and sound judgment to create practical solutions to contribute to a world filled with opportunity, voice, and access for poor people, especially women, children, and other disadvantaged groups; • Very good advocacy skills supporting the pro-poor change by designing and leading traditional evidence-based and non-traditional engagement campaigns, the largest being the "edu-tainment" program in Bihar, India which reached over 50M people; • Demonstrated skills in managing the HR function involving human resource planning, recruitment, and orientation of new staff, to grow a new cadre of change agents within the organization; • Seasoned leader with extensive managerial skills (State Program Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Regional Manager) and the ability to supervise and inspire teams of 200+ geographically distributed staff with various cultural backgrounds; • Excellent representation, problem-solving, reporting and communication skills.
