Martin Opolot has over 15 years of progressive work experience in International Development. He has worked in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Yemen, Afghanistan & Nigeria--with USAID funded activities. He has technical experience developing and operationalizing monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) plans as well as; designing and conducting data quality assessments (DQAs); designing and managing impact & performance evaluations and learning activities, designing data collection tools as well as executing surveys/field research data (using both qualitative and quantitative methods); data analyses and reporting. Martin possesses practical experience of USAID programming, including policies, procedures, and documentation related to all areas of the program cycle. He is a team player (and manager) and understands the import of teamwork and building relations (within and outside the project) for successful implementation of the activities and overall achievement of contractual obligations. He is skilled in strategic planning, activity implementation, performance tracking, & management. Martin is also grounded in Project Management Practice, making him an ideal candidate with a blend of MEL and Project Management skills. He has supported humanitarian interventions (including: Health, Livelihoods, Food security and Water and Sanitation Sectors); stabilization and development programming (i.e in education, health, and economic growth). He is a people cantered person, a team builder, relationships-builder, a mentor and coach. He is skilled in planning, organizing & execution and writing precise, accurate, factual and analytical reports. He holds MA in Economic Policy and Planning, Makerere University and BA in Economics, Makerere University. He also holds a certificate in Project management from Regenesys Business School, South Africa
