Martins Adewumi

Nuel Martins ADEWUMI is a Chartered Accountant, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is also a fellow of the Institute. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, and studied Accounting and Finance at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of financial management, financial analysis, treasury management, auditing, financial assurance and investigations, internal control system development, financial risks management, etc. He has worked with various entities, including professional practice firms, private companies, International Non-Governmental Organization and other Non-Governmental Organizations where he was actively engaged in the management of the organizations’ finances and some International Donors funded Projects. He had managed projects of USAID, DFID, FAO, Chemonics International, IFAD, CFC, Rockefeller Foundations, CIDA, Harvard PEPFER, Leventis Foundation, CIMMYT, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, etc. He is fully familiar with financial control procedures and has a thorough knowledge of internationally accepted accounting standards and practices. As a reference, he worked with UNOPS as a Project Accounts consultant for the Nigeria supply chain Integration Project (NSCIP), Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) as Finance Manager, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) as Projects Finance Manager, and with Patrick Uwakwe & Co. and Sulaimon & Co, (Chartered Accountants firms) as Audit Manager. He is familiar with and experienced at management of day-to-day operations of small scale, medium and large enterprises. Very good in use of standard accounting software, and can easily deploy his acquired experience in this area to the management of financial reporting system of any organization. Martins has high sense of honesty, accountability, transparency, integrity and professionalism in the discharge of any assigned duties. He is very prudent in use and management of resources ensuring that there is value for money for every monetary investment. He holds in high regards, the respect for others and their views, regardless of individual dispositions. He communicates very well and fluent in English and Yoruba languages.
