Twenty-four years work experience managing international development, extension, and applied research programs. Specifically, thirteen years' work experience designing, managing, and evaluating agricultural and related projects; supervising and mentoring staff; and managing engagements with other donors and host country governments. Eleven years' work experience in applied research and extension focusing on commercial horticulture production and marketing aimed at increasing profitability and sustainability of small agro-enterprises marketing directly to consumers. I have Bs (Agriculture), MS (Agronomy) and PhD (Horticulture) degrees; took part in many trainings, workshops, seminars, and conferences; and held leadership positions in professional associations. I have worked in Afghanistan, Kenya, Nigeria, Liberia, Uganda, and the United States.
